The bungalow is decorated with local hardwood timber furniture, artwork from local artists, soft furnishings exclusively designed for the resort and ceramic tiling. White Grass Ocean resort was such a special and memorable place! The resort itself is well looked after by the staff and locals who work/live nearby. Beautiful views every evening with the sun setting directly in front of the open restaurant, with beautiful private spots all around the resort to sit down and soak in the view. The coral reef surrounding the entire resort was spectacular and the highlight of this place! Little gems, including the reef near the jetty, nearby blue holes, and swimming spots, you will never want to get out of the water! The facilities were perfect for my stay on Tanna island, with direct transfers to and from the airport, plus its convenient location. The staff were soooo lovely and attentive to detail, the food menu for lunch and dinner would change each day, using fresh and local ingredients. Tours were so easy to book through the resort, including the most popular; the volcano safari to Mt yasur! Not to be missed! Overall, wish I could have stayed longer! Thanks White Grass Team for an unforgettable stay!

The resort is situated on the coast directly in front of an amazing coral reef with easy access from the resorts private jetty. The on site dive shop provides masks, snorkel and fins if required. The resort is 5 minutes drive from the airport and 10 minutes from town. Breakfast included is continental style (bread/toast, fruit, pastries, tea, coffee) with cooked breakfast available at an extra charge. All the food at White Grass is delicious., breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is always fresh and tasty. Lots of variety to cater for all tastes. We stayed in a sea view bungalow. It was awesome. it had private ensuite, large comfy bed, very clean, balcony/veranda for sitting out listening to the ocean with an afternoon drink. My wife and I both had massages at the spa from Mary and loved them. All the staff are extremely helpful and cannot do enough for you. They can organise all trips for you from reception, we did the volcano trip, which is highly recommended.

White Grass Resort has a great location on the western beaches of Tanna - perfect to watch sunset with a drink during happy hour. The grounds are beautifully kept and the rooms are very comfortable. Airport transfers, snorkelling gear, kayaks, pushbikes and breakfast are all complimentary. Breakfast was amazing and it was easy to organise tours and activities. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our flight back to Port Vila was cancelled at the last minute and the staff organised alternate flights that day for all departing guests with Air- Taxi. You pay a premium for the accommodation but when staff are able to make a significant issue like a cancelled flight seem like a mere blip it is worth it.

This beautiful resort finds the perfect balance between luxury and authenticity. It's one of the more premium options in the area but hasn't lost any charm because the architecture is still in a local style with traditional materials. The gardens are also stunning. The location is amazing. You're right on the seafront and have your own jeti that leads to a deep blue gulley in the reef where you can take yourself snorkelling. It's not the most expensive place you can stay but due to these two points I think it is the best. On top of that, the staff are so lovely, helpful and attentive. Couldn't recommend it more!

We are a family of four and stayed in the family bure. The family bure had two separate rooms, two bathrooms, a nice living area and a lovely terrace. It offered a lot of space for the whole family. The hotel grounds are lovely and the restaurant has great views on the sea (we even saw dolphins in the bay from the restaurant). The food was good and fresh. The menu changes every day and there is even a separate menu with vegetarian options (some of them can be made vegan). Breakfast was great as well. The hotel can organise day trips for you. There is a pool and there is even a small golf course at the hotel.
